What's happening on the day?

Tubarama isn't just a world record attempt - it's grown into a one-day Tuba Festival!

The event is at the Knavesmire Stand of York Racecourse, with the world record taking place on the terrace. There will be lots of trade stands to visit, demonstrations from top tuba and euphonium players, and a programme of tuba-tastic music from players and bands of all types to entertain you before and after the world record attempt.

But Tubarama isn't only for tuba and euphonium players - we want you to bring your bandmates, your family and your friends and your instrument, as there will be an opportunity for all brass players to join in a massed brass finale after the world record attempt is over. (Music for this will be made available on the Music page.)

Gates open at 11.00am and the world record takes place at 2.30pm. The day finishes at 4.30pm. The racecourse has bars and food outlets which will be open to the public and free parking at the nearby racecourse parking is available as part of the ticket price.

Tubarama is the finale of the Brassed On York 2013 festival, which runs from 27-30 June - so why not come to  the beautiful city of York for a weekend of brass music! Go to www.brassedon.org
